The weather outside was frightful, but inside the Chelmsford Center for the Arts, the mood was delightful. The second themed concert of the year was ‘Christmas Magic’, and magical it was. Students from the Woburn, MA and Nashua NH locations showed off their skills with the Center’s state-of-the-art sound system and gorgeous Steinway B piano, entertaining the audience with festive music and good cheer. The program included old favorites like ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen’, as well as newer favorites like ‘Believe’ from the film, The Polar Express.
Downstairs in the Center’s Cabaret setting, students played games, won prizes, and decorated Christmas ornaments. One of the favorites was a game in which the kids had to identify Christmas carols with emoji hints. “Thumbs up cold, thumbs up cold…” voice student Emma troubleshooted as she looked over a particularly hard set of emojis, “Oh, it’s ‘Let it Snow’! That’s funny!”
It was a wonderful way to close out the year, and we at Virtuoso Kids Music Academy can’t wait to see what is in store for us in 2022!
